Overview

Nigeria's historic buildings, religious landmarks, and first-generation industrial facilities carry irreplaceable cultural and operational value — yet most exist without any accurate record. If fire, flood, or decay strikes, reconstruction becomes guesswork.

3D laser scanning creates a complete, millimetre-accurate digital record of a structure as it stands today. That record supports restoration planning, insurance documentation, regulatory compliance, and — in the worst case — faithful reconstruction.

Beyond heritage, the same capability documents complex operating facilities for compliance and insurance purposes, giving owners a defensible record of asset condition at a point in time.

Heritage Documentation — Frequently Asked Questions

Is laser scanning safe for fragile or historic structures?
Completely. Laser scanning is non-contact — nothing touches the structure. Scanners capture geometry from tripod positions at a distance, making the method ideal for fragile, deteriorating, or access-restricted buildings.
What happens to the data long-term?
Deliverables are provided in open archival formats such as E57 alongside working formats, and we can maintain a secure archive copy. The dataset remains usable decades from now, independent of any single software vendor.
Can scan data support an insurance claim or restoration?
Yes. A dated, verifiable 3D record of a structure's condition is strong documentation for insurers, and after damage it gives restorers exact geometry — mouldings, ornamentation, structural dimensions — to rebuild faithfully.
